Quick answer: Over the past several years, AGM has installed estate-grade frameless shower enclosures, large custom mirror walls, glass railings and back-painted glass throughout Saddle River, NJ. Below is a tour of recent project highlights — what we built, what glass and hardware we specified, and how to start your own. From our Midland Park showroom on Greenwood Avenue, we're about 10 minutes from Saddle River — close enough for fast measures and easy follow-up site visits.

Saddle River at a Glance for Glass Projects

Saddle River is one of New Jersey's premier estate towns — sweeping two-acre lots, gated drives along East Saddle River Road and West Saddle River Road, and a housing inventory dominated by custom builds and stately estate homes. Most of the master baths we work in here are large, often with multiple shower heads, body sprays, a steam generator and a curbless walk-in footprint. The expectation is heavier 1/2" glass, premium hardware (polished nickel, unlacquered brass and matte black are the most-requested finishes), and a finish that reads as architectural rather than as a stock product.

Many Saddle River projects are also part of broader estate-renovation packages — a primary bath, a guest suite shower, a basement bar mirror and a glass railing on a renovated open-stair foyer all going in over a few months. We're set up for that pace: small in-house crew, in-house fabrication, and one project manager (Jessica) carrying the project from measure to final wipe-down.

Recent Shower-Door Highlights in Saddle River

Frameless enclosures in Saddle River trend toward larger openings, heavier glass and more architectural detail than the average Bergen County job. Here are three recent installs.

Architectural Estate Master Bath, East Side

A custom estate on a two-acre lot east of East Saddle River Road had a primary suite with a 9' x 7' curbless walk-in shower as part of a full renovation. We fabricated and installed a 1/2" low-iron (ultra-clear) frameless enclosure with a full-height fixed panel, a single inswing pivot door and unlacquered brass hardware. Low-iron was essential — the marble inside is a pale Calacatta and standard glass would have read green against it. We also added a fixed return panel above the pivot to handle steam venting cleanly.

Spa-Style Walk-In with Bench Detail

A renovated colonial-style estate near West Saddle River Road called for a primary-bath spa shower: large curbless walk-in, integrated tile bench, multiple shower heads. We built a 1/2" clear frameless enclosure with a 90-degree return panel, an inline pivot door and polished-nickel hardware. The bench required a templated knock-out in the side panel — about 18" off the floor where the bench butts up against the glass. The panel was field-templated on site, then cut and finished in our Lodi shop.

Steam Enclosure with Transom in a Guest Suite

An estate near Allendale Road had a guest-suite renovation that included a true steam shower. Steam enclosures need a sealed top with a hinged transom for access. We fabricated a full sealed-top enclosure in 1/2" clear with brushed brass hardware and a transom that opens for service. The framing detail at the ceiling is what makes these last — and it's where most commodity shower-door shops cut corners.

Recent Mirror Highlights in Saddle River

Mirrors in Saddle River homes tend to run large — primary-bath vanity mirrors at 8'+ wide, dressing-room and his/hers walk-in closets with full-height mirror walls, and the occasional home-gym mirror wall in a finished basement or pool house. Edge finish almost always polished, occasionally with a hand-cut bevel.

His & Hers Dressing Room with Twin Mirror Walls

A renovated estate dressing room had two mirror walls — one full-height behind a dressing island, one wall-to-wall behind the shoe closet. We fabricated four matched panels in 1/4" polished-edge mirror, installed with hidden Z-clip support and a 1/16" reveal at every joint. From across the room they read as two single sheets.

Beveled Vanity Mirror in a Powder Room

A jewel-box powder room in a Tudor-style estate called for a single oversized vanity mirror. Sticking with the home's traditional language, the owners wanted a deep 1.25" hand-cut bevel around all four sides. We cut and beveled it in our shop and shipped with custom mounting blocks — the mirror sits proud of the wall about 3/4" for a furniture-piece look.

Other Glass Work in Saddle River

One recent Saddle River project worth flagging: a fully outdoor glass deck railing on a renovated estate pool deck — 1/2" tempered panels in a clean stainless-steel post system, set on a slate stone cap. Glass railings on estate properties have to deal with much more wind load than a typical residential balcony, and the post anchoring is the make-or-break detail. We've also fabricated several back-painted glass installations as backsplashes and walk-in pantry walls in Saddle River kitchens. For railings, our glass railings page covers code, cost and design.

Why Saddle River Homeowners Choose AGM

Three reasons most Saddle River projects end up with us: proximity (Midland Park is about 10 minutes south), 40+ years of estate-grade installations (we've worked in every type of older and newer Bergen County estate), and in-house fabrication (we cut, polish, bevel and install with our own crew — no subs). Free in-home measures are standard for every Saddle River project. Most quotes are returned within one business day.
