Quick answer: Over the past several years, AGM has installed custom shower doors, mirrors, glass railings and back-painted glass throughout Waldwick, NJ. Below is a tour of recent project highlights — what we built, where, what glass and hardware we chose, and how to start your own project. From our Midland Park showroom on Greenwood Avenue, we're about 5 minutes from Waldwick.
Waldwick at a Glance for Glass Projects
Waldwick is a tidy borough of cape cods, mid-century ranches and classic colonials, with a tight grid of streets centered on the Erie Railroad station and Wyckoff Avenue. Lots are smaller than in Wyckoff or Franklin Lakes, and most homes are between 1,400 and 2,400 square feet — bathrooms tend to be modest in footprint, which means tight, well-fit frameless work and clever space-saving mirror layouts.
The most common glass jobs in Waldwick are frame-to-frameless shower replacements (updating 1960s and 1970s framed enclosures with modern glass), sliding bypass doors for tighter primary baths where a swinging door won't fit, and vanity mirrors cut to fit irregular wall spans. We also see steady demand for kitchen backsplash back-painted glass in renovated capes where the kitchen is small enough that a single seamless panel reads cleaner than tile. Our Midland Park showroom is about 5 minutes from Waldwick via Franklin Turnpike. Same-week in-home measures are routine.
Recent Shower-Door Highlights in Waldwick
Frameless shower enclosures are still our most-requested service in Waldwick. Here are three recent installs that illustrate the range — from compact frame-to-frameless replacements to larger architectural enclosures. Project locations are described by general area, not exact addresses.
Sliding Bypass on Crescent Avenue
A 1950s cape on Crescent Avenue had a primary bath with only 23" of clearance between the tub deck and the vanity — a swinging door was a non-starter. We installed a frameless sliding bypass with 3/8" clear glass on a top-mounted track with brushed-nickel hardware. The track is hidden behind a small wood valance the owners' contractor built. Looks intentional, fits perfectly.
Walk-In Replacement on Hopper Avenue
A 1962 ranch on Hopper Avenue had an original tile walk-in with a folding vinyl door that had failed. The renovation kept the original tile pan (in good shape after a deep clean) and added a frameless 3/8" clear inline panel with a single pivot door, matte black hardware. The owners chose matte black to update the bathroom's look without redoing the tile.
Inline Pivot in a Tight Powder-to-Full Conversion
A 1949 cape off East Prospect Street had a powder bath converted to a full bath as part of a basement-suite renovation. The shower stall measures only 34" x 34" — among the smallest enclosures we've built recently. Frameless 3/8" clear inline panel, a 22" pivot door, polished chrome hardware to match the new fixtures.

Custom mirrors are our second most-requested category in Waldwick — vanity mirrors, wall-to-wall mirrors in primary suites, and full-wall mirrors in home gyms and dressing rooms. Each is cut from a single sheet (or matched multiple sheets for very large walls) and finished with polished or beveled edges.
Soffit-Fit Mirror in a 1960s Bath
A primary bath on Wyckoff Avenue had a dropped-soffit wall that dipped 4" below ceiling height across half the wall — a common 1960s detail. The owners wanted a full mirror but the soffit edge made a square mirror look awkward. We cut the mirror to follow the soffit dip with a clean polished edge, no frame. Looks deliberate, integrates with the soffit instead of fighting it.

Other Glass Work in Waldwick
We installed a short run of frameless interior glass railing on a renovated split-level off Franklin Turnpike last year — two panels at a stair landing, stainless standoffs. We've also done back-painted glass backsplashes in three Waldwick kitchen renovations in the past 18 months; the smaller kitchen footprints in Waldwick capes make a single seamless painted panel especially effective.

Why Waldwick Homeowners Choose AGM
Three reasons most Waldwick projects end up with us: proximity (our Midland Park showroom is about 5 minutes away, which means fast measures and easy follow-up visits), 40+ years of local installations (we've seen every kind of older Bergen County bathroom and we know how to template around plaster walls, out-of-square framing and original tile), and in-house fabrication (we cut and finish glass in our own shop, install with our own crew, and never subcontract). Free in-home measures are standard for every Waldwick project, with no obligation. Most quotes are returned within one business day of the measure.
