Quick answer: Over forty-plus years installing custom glass in Palisades Park, our crew has built case-study experience across the town's most common housing types. This post tours recent Palisades Park highlights — shower enclosures, custom mirrors, glass railings and other glass work — with a sense of what we see here and what to expect when you reach out. For broader town details, see the Palisades Park service-area page.
At a glance
Palisades Park's housing stock leans older — capes, post-war ranches, two-family walk-ups, and a growing share of new multifamily along the Broad Avenue corridor. Most of the work we do here is replacement: pulling a 30-year-old framed slider out of a primary bath that's just been re-tiled, or upsizing a tub-shower combo into a true walk-in shower. A few common patterns we see on every block: tight bath footprints, original 1950s subfloors that need careful templating, and homeowners who've finally decided to stop fighting the chrome-and-pebble-glass enclosure that came with the house.
Shower-door highlights
Frameless shower enclosures are our highest-volume category in Palisades Park. Three recent residential installs that show the range:
Frameless inline replacement on Roff Avenue
A 1955 cape on the south end of Roff Avenue had been gut-renovated through every other room first; the primary bath was the last hold-out. The owners wanted to keep the original 60" tub footprint but swap the framed slider for a fixed-glass-and-swing-door inline frameless setup. We templated around the existing tile (a tight 1/8" reveal at the curb) and fabricated a single 3/8" clear panel with a brushed-nickel knob and a slim 8" pull. Two-week fabrication, half-day install.
Walk-in conversion on West Edsall Boulevard
A homeowner on West Edsall Boulevard converted a former second bathroom into a primary suite and gutted the room down to studs. The new shower opening was a true walk-in, 48" wide, with a curbless tile floor and a linear drain. We installed a single fixed panel with a hinged frameless door in 3/8" low-iron — worth the upgrade because the bathroom uses creamy off-white tile that reads slightly green behind standard clear glass. Hydrophobic coating added at purchase.
Steam-rated upgrade on Brinkerhoff Avenue
A larger 1960s split on Brinkerhoff Avenue got a full primary-bath remodel including a residential steam generator. We fabricated a sealed steam enclosure — 3/8" tempered glass, full-height to the ceiling, operable transom for venting, and an upgraded gasket package at every seam. Matte-black hardware throughout.

Custom mirrors — vanity, full-wall, entry-hall, home-gym — are the second-most-common project we install in Palisades Park. A few recent examples:
- A pair of beveled vanity mirrors above a double-sink remodel in a center-hall colonial off Grand Avenue — 28" wide each, 1" polished bevel, anchored above the sconces.
- A single 60" by 36" frameless wall mirror in a converted basement gym off Bergen Boulevard — polished edges, J-channel anchor, no surrounding frame.
Other glass work
Beyond showers and mirrors, Palisades Park keeps us busy with railings, backsplashes, tabletops and accent work:
- Back-painted glass behind a stainless range in a recently renovated kitchen near Borough Hall — one continuous panel in warm white, templated to clear two outlets and a hood reveal.
- A glass tabletop replacement for a homeowner whose original tempered top had chipped at a corner — same 3/8" thickness, polished edges, identical 60" diameter.
Why Palisades Park chooses AGM
Palisades Park sits about 15 minutes from our Lodi showroom up Route 46 and over the Bergen Boulevard corridor — close enough that we can usually fit a measure into the same week you call. We've installed in every part of town, from the tight south-side capes to the newer high-density buildings going up along Broad Avenue, and the crew has the patience for the older floor plans that need careful templating. No subcontractors, no glass shipped in from another state — every panel in your home was cut and edged in our Lodi facility.
