Shower-door highlights
Shower enclosures are our highest-volume residential category in Jersey City, and the variety of housing here means we see a wide spread of styles and footprints. Recent examples:
Downtown high-rise primary-bath frameless enclosure
A new-construction primary bath on the 20-something floor of a downtown high-rise condo. The building required full COI, freight-elevator booking, and a same-day debris haul-out. We submitted the COI two weeks ahead, fabricated 1/2″ low-iron glass with matte black hinges and a custom 24″ pull, and installed in a single morning. The whole project read more like a commercial install than a residential one — which is increasingly typical for downtown JC.
Heights brownstone walk-up bath renovation
A 1900s brownstone in the Heights had a 30-inch-wide bathroom — the original footprint, never widened. We installed a frameless sliding bypass at 48″ wide, 3/8″ low-iron glass on a slim brushed-brass top track. Heights brownstones are about working within tight original footprints, and a slim sliding bypass is almost always the right answer.
Bergen-Lafayette renovated two-family
A renovated two-family in Bergen-Lafayette had matching primary baths in both units. We installed matching 3/8″ frameless inline doors with brushed nickel hardware in both units, completed across two workdays.
Mirror highlights
Custom mirrors are an underused category — most homeowners don't realize the upgrade until they see one done at the right size, with the right edge treatment. Two recent Jersey City examples:
Downtown condo low-iron entry mirror
A 30″ × 84″ full-height low-iron mirror in a downtown condo entry, polished edges, concealed standoff hardware to float the mirror an inch off the wall. The low-iron reads truer than standard mirror at that size — the green cast of standard glass would have been obvious.
Heights brownstone vanity mirror with period framing
A 28″ × 36″ mirror for a Heights brownstone bath, fabricated with polished edges and antique-finish silvering to coordinate with a vintage frame the owner already had. We delivered the panel to her framer for assembly.
